Shkiba earned her MBA from University of Phoenix and a BA Degree in Business Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Upon completion of undergraduate school in 1998, Shkiba started her career with Amber-Allen Publishing, Inc., working in different departments from Office Management, Publicity, Finance, Customer Service, to Managing Sales & Marketing. After Amber-Allen Publishing, Inc., in 2002, Shkiba began working as an independent consultant for start-up publishers and authors, in areas of distribution, publicity, submission reviews, and mostly focusing on sales & marketing.

As the West Coast Regional Sales Manager for Unlimited Coaching Solutions, she now works directly with businesses and organizations to improve the workplace culture. She has been a long time advocate of The Four Agreements in the Workplace programs.
